Itinerary  2 Days /  1 Night

DAY.1.- TRAIN CUSCO 104 Km. AGUAS CALIENTES MACHU PICCHU.

 

Pick up time at 0600 hrs. Then we will transfer you to the San Pedro train station to board the train that値l take you to the 104 Km. Of the Cusco Aguas Calientes Machu Picchu railroad and starting point for the 6 hours hike, during this journey we値l visit the Chachabamba archaeological site which is located at 2160 m.a.s.l. and then climb 7 Kms.

 

For approximately 4 hours towards the WINAYWAYNA archaeological complex located at 2700 m.a.s.l. Impressive archaeological site formed by agricultural terraces and an urban and religious center.

 

From this point we値l appreciate the Urubamba river and the majestic valley where the flora and fauna can be found as well as water cascades coming from the melting snow-capped mountains.

 

Then we値l continue hiking towards the Inti Punku or Sungate. From this majestic, impressive and magnetic place we値l have the Machupicchu on sight (2400m.a.s.l.), then we値l hike down (45meters), until reaching the exit door and then board a bus towards Aguas Calientes, where we will rest in the hotel, overnight and dinner.

 

DAY 02.- AGUAS CALIENTES MACHU PICCHU CUSCO

 

Breakfast in the hotel, the guide will come to the hotel to pick us up and then board the bus to Machu Picchu where we will have an ample view of the urban and agricultural areas, also the ceremonial and sacred temples of the sun, the main square, and the most impressive streets in the citadel alter the visit, is optional to climb the Huayna Picchu from where we値l have an spectacular panoramic view and at the indicated time we値l return to Aguas Calientes to board the train back to Cusco. Transfer to the hotel.
